Do wood slat panels absorb sound?

They help. The slats and recessed gaps scatter and absorb some of the sound a bare hard wall bounces back, reducing echo — great for theaters, offices, and open living rooms. They soften a room's acoustics rather than fully soundproofing between rooms.

Where can I use them?

On dry interior feature walls — behind a bed, sofa, TV, or desk. Because they're wood-based, keep them out of showers and constantly humid rooms.
